The series consists of records of the Dept. of Affiliates of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) from 1961-1968. The alphabetical file contains form letters, lists of affiliates, certificates, and a few items regarding the Ministers Leadership Training Program. The majority of the series is comprised of state files which include printed material, programs from benefits and rallies, and applications for affiliation which document voter registration and direct action drives on a local level.
